Golden Brand presents an interview with Elene Kebuladze, Head of the Marketing Department at LOLU Group, who speaks about the company’s journey, the innovations behind its success and the strategic vision driving its continued expansion.
Q. First of all, what does receiving this recognition mean to you and what significance does it have for the LOLU Group?
A. LOLU Group is delighted to be part of this important annual tradition. For us, this recognition is a great honor, as it reflects the value of the service we have introduced to the Georgian market. We are proud to offer a genuinely innovative solution and to have become the standard in filtered water dispenser services for more than 890 organizations. This achievement confirms that our commitment to quality, innovation and customer satisfaction is making a real impact.
Q. How did the company’s story begin and what path have you taken to reach this point?
A. LOLU Group officially launched operations in 2022, but our journey began much earlier, with more than a year dedicated to research and preparation. From the beginning, we have been – and remain – a truly Georgian enterprise, built with Georgian investment, Georgian ambitions and a business model designed around the needs and consumption habits of the local market. Our goal has always been to create practical, innovative solutions tailored specifically to our country’s businesses.
Q. What was the key factor that helped LOLU Group achieve market leadership?
A. The key factor was courage. We set out to fundamentally change the outdated culture of office water delivery and consumption in Georgia. This meant introducing not only new technology but also a completely new service model. By 2026, our service network covers more than 95 populated areas across the country. We identified inefficiencies in traditional office water supply systems and provided a rational alternative based on convenience, simplicity and cost efficiency. That bold approach helped us earn the trust of the market.
Q. What makes your modern water dispensers and filtration systems stand out from other brands?
A: LOLU dispensers are equipped with filtration systems based on advanced Korean technology. Using a compact 6-mm connection, they integrate directly into the central water supply and can be installed seamlessly in virtually any office environment. This eliminates dependence on outdated plastic water bottles and allows us to provide unlimited access to clean drinking water without disruptive installation work. In addition, our systems are specifically adapted to Georgia’s hydrogeological conditions and are assembled with local requirements in mind, ensuring optimal performance for our customers.
Q. What types of filtration technologies do you use and how safe are they for consumer health?
A. Our filtration systems are based on Korean filtration practices, refined over decades. The filters are multi-stage, with each cartridge designed to target a specific type of contaminant – such as sand, sediment, dust, heavy metals, active chemical impurities, bacteria and viruses. Additionally, our systems feature UV sanitization technology, which sterilizes the internal components of the dispenser. LOLU was the pioneer in introducing this level of innovation to the Georgian market, ensuring both safety and high-quality drinking water for users.
Q. Who are your customers and which segments does LOLU Group serve?
A. LOLU Group has strategically focused on the B2B segment. Today, we serve more than 820 private companies and over 70 public institutions. Our clients include major organizations such as Bank of Georgia, Credo Bank, Ministry of Education of Georgia, Ministry of Health, PSP, Aversi, as well as international hospitality brands such as Marriott Hotel, Wyndham, etc. This diverse portfolio reflects the confidence leading organizations place in our service.
Q. Do you offer any specialized service or support during installation and maintenance?
A. Absolutely. LOLU’s philosophy is not only about delivering innovative technology but also about simplifying everyday operations for our partners. Clients no longer need to manage bottle stock, place recurring water orders, wait for deliveries, or handle the physical replacement of bottles. Our technical team manages the installation process entirely, with zero effort required from the customer. Furthermore, every six months our service specialists perform filter replacement and technical maintenance proactively, ensuring uninterrupted performance and peace of mind.
Q. What are your company’s near-term plans and development strategy?
A. Our immediate focus is to strengthen our position in the B2B segment while improving operational processes even further. We already have several strategic initiatives in development that we plan to implement by the end of this year. Ultimately, our goal is to reach the highest possible level of customer satisfaction within the B2B market and continue to raise the standard for water service solutions in Georgia.
Q. What would you say to companies that are still choosing a water filtration system?
A. We would tell them that there is now a practical opportunity to make water consumption simple, comfortable and cost-effective. Based on our internal statistics, almost every company in Tbilisi and other major cities is located within 550 meters of at least one LOLU dispenser. This means potential clients can easily see our technology in real working conditions before making a decision. We encourage interested businesses to contact us through phone or social media and we will direct them to a nearby location where they can experience the benefits and innovation of our system firsthand.
Q. Lolu is currently the most experienced and largest organization in the water dispenser service industry at this stage. What helped you accumulate such extensive experience in such a short period of time?
A. The truth is that the attitude of the Georgian business sector toward a local startup played a major role. By this, I mean the guidance and feedback we received after every mistake — detailed explanations of how we could become a better company and what kind of service businesses truly wanted from us.
The Lolu team is grateful to every partner company and their representatives who contributed to the company’s development in this way, supported such an ambitious initiative, trusted us during the early stages and gave us the opportunity to correct our mistakes.
Thanks to this experience, every employee at the company today pays special attention to the needs and recommendations of our partner companies. This makes our service much stronger, more flexible and more valuable.
