Hyleys has been bringing the refined taste and delicate aroma of English tea to Georgia for 21 years, along with the famous traditions of the English tea ceremony.

Over the years, the British tea brand has gained popularity and recognition on the local market, now winning its fourth Golden Brand award, which is recognized as Georgia’s “most influential and prestigious” business award ceremony.

Koba Metreveli, Director of Everest 2010, a distribution company that imports Hyleys tea to Georgia, shares his impression of the Golden Brand win and discusses flavors of British tea in this interview.

Q. Hyleys has won its fourth Golden Brand award for being Georgian customers’ favorite foreign tea brand. How has the brand maintained the title, do you think?

A. Hyleys has gained a reputation for its exceptional quality, distinctive style, and extensive market reach. With a strong presence in the industry and a loyal customer base, Hyleys has emerged as a leader among a sea of similar brands.

From its inception, Hyleys has been dedicated to providing products that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of all consumers.

As for Georgia, the brand has been delivering the best blends of tea since 2003. Hyleys has managed to win the hearts of many consumers in our country. The brand has been developing year upon year, experiencing stable growth in sales of about 20% annually and expanding its product portfolio to meet increased demand.

Q. You mentioned a product portfolio. What are the best blends of tea that Hyleys offers in Georgia?

A. While initially only the detox tea from Harmony collection was sold in Georgia, now consumers are able to try green and black ginger, raspberry, cranberry, graviola, pomegranate, blueberry, chamomile, mint, linden, hibiscus, lemon balm, thyme and others from the same collection.

Hyleys offers Black tea with rosehip and hibiscus. Did you know that rosehip tea may boost your immune system, aid weight loss, reduce joint pain, support healthy-looking skin, and protect against heart disease and type two diabetes?

Our Haileys Black Tea is the perfect blend to help you feel better owing to the vitamins, minerals and essential oils that it contains. Overall, I want to highlight that Hailey’s Tea Collection is focused on improving the immune system, boosting energy and keeping customers healthy.

Green tea with lemon – this is the harmony of nature, isn’t it? You can taste Hailey’s elite blend brought to you exclusively from the green fields of Ceylon.

We have English green tea with jasmine in the portfolio, also Hyleys Garcinia Cambogia, Hyleys turmenic, black and green tea with aroma of pomegranate. I want to mention that regular consumption of pomegranate helps normalization of blood pressure, facilitates food digestion, increases hemoglobin level and improves immunity.

Hyleys 14 Day Detox Kit cleanses and detoxifies to get your body back to optimal health!

Q. How many products from Hyleys are available in Georgia and where can we buy them?

A. Currently fifty different types of Hyleys Tea are imported to Georgia, while the brand produces more than 200 varieties of tea overall.

Hyleys Tea retains 100% of the original flavor of freshly picked tea, and is available in almost all supermarkets in Georgia and PSP and Aversi pharmacies.

The Hyleys British collection is more popular than other collections both in Georgia and abroad. It is pure black Ceylon tea, hand-picked, without additives.

Q. Please introduce us to Regency Teas LTD, the producer of Hyleys.

A. Since its inception in 1997, Regency Teas LTD has been packing tea under its flagship brand Hyleys. The company obtains these blends from various countries worldwide and is one of the few tea exporters in Sri Lanka to have its own cold storage facility specifically for herbs.

Regency Teas exports to over 25 countries worldwide and its strongest outreach is in North America and Eastern Europe.

On the manufacturing front, the company operates a production plant of 90,000 square feet with modern infrastructure, tea packaging machinery and highly skilled staff.

Annually, the factory produces 3,500 metric tons of tea in value added form under strict Food Safety Management Systems and guidelines.

The plant is certified through the Sri Lanka Tea Board and Bureau Veritas for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 which is a recognized body of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

The company is also licensed to manufacture products certified by kosher and organic bodies.
